If you are an online manufacturer selling custom optics, one of the
best ways to get and keep customers is to treat them well. How do you show
potential customers you are a good company to buy from, though, and how do you
keep their custom once you have it?
Showing your customers you care about their custom is the first thing
you should do. These things will help you do that.
Offer
some type of rewards program – One thing many customers love when it
comes to buying from a new manufacturer is a rewards program. A good program
should include rewards points for not only buying custom optics from you, but
also for buying other lenses as well.
If you do not already have a rewards program, start one. You may find
your customer numbers increase quickly when they know for every purchase they
make they get a reward. You may also find existing customers begin to buy more
from you.
Coupons – Be
sure to offer coupons to existing customers as well as to those that may not
have bought custom optics from you before.
These coupons can save your customers 10 percent on purchases of
custom optics and other lenses, and 20 percent or more if they spend over a
certain amount.
Listen
to your customers – If customers have complaints, suggestions or
questions, listen to them and respond. If they have good suggestions, follow
through on them. If they have questions, answer them and, if they have
complaints, solve their problems.
Donate
a percentage to charity – An excellent marketing tool, and one
that can make people spend even more, is donating a percentage of every sale
you make to a charity.
To increase sales even more, choose several charities you support, and
allow customers to decide which charity gets the money from their purchases.
